Masafumija Nagasakija (82), vremešnog Japanca koji je posljednjih 30 godina živio na pustom otoku, vlasti su nasilno pokupile iz njegova vlastita raja i smjestile u civilizaciju. Starca je prije nekoliko dana policija prebacila na naseljeni otok Ishigaki nakon što su se proširile vijesti da je Nagasaki ozbiljno bolestan i slab.

Nagasaki je na nenaseljeni otočić Sotobanari stigao još 1989. godine nakon što mu je dosadio život u velikom gradu. Kaže da je bio umoran i zasićen od ubrzanog života i da se htio nekoliko godina odmoriti u osami. Međutim, kada je shvatio da mu život u pustoši savršeno odgovara, Nagasaki je odlučio produžiti svoj boravak na pustom otoku. Odlučio je na Sotobanariju - umrijeti.

O svom 'prošlom' životu nikad nije previše govorio, ali iz njegovih izjava iz dokumentarca Alvara Cereza dalo se naslutiti da je bio fotograf u Osaki, te da je imao ženu i dvoje djece.

- U civilizaciji sam se osjećao kao totalni idiot. Čak i ljudi su me tako tretirali, a na ovom otoku takvog osjećaja nema - otkrio je Nagasaki Cerezu.

- Ovdje mi nitko ne može ništa reći, ništa narediti. Jedini moraš poštovati pravila majke prirode. Prirodu ne možeš savladati, ne možeš nad njom dominirati, moraš joj se prilagoditi u potpunosti.

Nagasaki je prvih nekoliko godina na otoku proveo u odjeći koju je ponio sa sobom, ali nakon jednog razornog tajfuna ostao je bez svega, tako da je sljedećih 25 godina na otoku proveo potpuno gol.

- Da gol hodam po gradu ljudi bi pomislili da sam totalni luđak. Međutim, na ovom otoku golotinja je normalna, kao da nosiš uniformu. Kad obučem nešto na sebe, osjećam se izgubljeno i zbunjeno - otkrio je Nagasaki u razgovoru za Reuters 2012. godine.

A kako je izgledao njegov život posljednjih 30 godina? Kaže da se striktno držao pravila i da mu je skoro svaki dan bio isti. Od sumraka do zore nije izlazio iz šatora kako bi se zaštitio od insekata, ujutro je vježbao na plaži, a ostatak dana proveo u potrazi za hranom.

Zanimljivo, vrlo rano odustao je od mesa i ribe, a nakon što je vidio male kornjače kako ulaze u more, odustao je i od krađe kornjačinih jaja. Jeo je uglavnom neke biljke, a jednom tjedno bi se odjenuo, sjeo u brodić i otišao u kupnju na obližnji otok. Kaže da je više kupovao vodu nego hranu. Novac mu je slala obitelj, oko 65 eura mjesečno...

Starcu je odlazak s otoka jako teško pao, a filmašu Cerezu je prije godinu dana otkrio da na Sotobanariju želi umrijeti.

- Nema šanse! Ne želim otići, pa čak ni pod cijenu da mi netko kaže da postoji puno bolje mjesto. Sve što trebam nalazi se ovdje - rekao je Nagasaki uz zaključak.

- Već sam rekao svojoj obitelji da ću umrijeti na otoku. Želim da me ubije tajfun. To je perfektan kraj života!
